WebYep Features

Simple and cost efficient

Only a few easy steps are necessary to install WebYep on your web server or on your provider's webspace. As WebYep does not require any database, it can be used on inexpensive webspaces.

WebYep is available for free!

WebYep Elements

There is no need to rebuild your entire website with WebYep: Just insert some WebYep Elements into individual pages to make them editable.

  • Texts and Images
    • Users can edit text content and upload images.
    • Text formatting abilities can be defined by the web designer via CSS styles.
    • HTML WYSIWYG in-browser editing via TinyMCE or CKEditor.
    • Automatic recognition of links and email addresses.
    • Email addresses can be encoded to hide them from SPAM spiders.
    • Automatic thumbnail creation (requires PHP GD-Extension).
  • Menus
Build hierarchical, dynamic but yet accessible menu structures with the WebYep Menu Element.
  • Loops
Repeat arbitrary WebYep or HTML elements on a page with the WebYep Loop Element. The content and order of each iteration can be determined by the user.
  • File Attachment
Attach any kind of document to a web page so visitors can download it. You only need to insert the WebYep File Attachement Element.

See the Online Demo for details.

Integration into Adobe Dreamweaver

You can extremely easy include and edit WebYep Elements with the WebYep Dreamweaver Extension: It is as simple as inserting any other content into your page in Dreamweaver. As a web designer you won't have to face a single line of PHP code.

The WebYep Dreamweaver Extension is compatible with Dreamweaver CS4 or CS5 for Windows and Mac OS X.

Using WebYep with other Web Design Applications

There are also plug-ins for RapidWeaver and Freeway available. The plug-in for Freeway is not a product of Objective Development and not part of the WebYep download packages — see the download page for details.

You are coding “by hand” and want to use WebYep with any other web page editor or source code editor? WebYep Elements are just small pieces of PHP code, you can insert them into your pages with any editor that allows you to access your HTML code directly — see the WebYep Documentation for more information.
